The international medical humanitarian organisation Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières, MSF) is looking for a suitable candidate for the following position to be based in Singapore:
 
Freelance Communication Officer (Online & Digital) (Singapore)
 
Reporting to the Online Strategist in Hong Kong, the position is responsible for managing, coordinating, monitoring, overseeing and implementing digital online communication campaign in order to promote the profile of MSF and raise awareness of MSF humanitarian work in Singapore.
 
Major Responsibilities
  • Account for
    • Enhancing SG market presence thru online digital campaign media accounts in Singapore 
    • Supporting Online Strategist to manage and maintain the SG Facebook page, Line,  and other registered social media accounts in Singapore
  • Review and analyze traffic, trend and effectiveness of online campaign
  • Monitor the mentioning of MSF in online communication platforms in Singapore
  • Build up and maintain a concrete online influencer network in Singapore to strengthen the profiling and exposure of MSF
  • Maintain a network of external online supports and/or sponsors in Singapore
  • Coordinate the pitching of online media in Singapore
  • Coordinate with other Communications Officers for the coverage of MSF activities and values in online media 
  • Develop and manage thematic websites for awareness raising, fundraising campaigns and public events in Singapore in close coordination with the Senior Technical Support Officer, Online Strategist and Editor, and other relevant departments or event working group
  • Deploy, organise and manage the online public events/ campaigns or online element of public events/ campaigns in Singapore
  • Coordinate and manage the production of audio/ visual materials for public communication
 
The ideal candidate
  • University graduate with minimum 2 years’ solid work experience in relevant industries / fields 
  • Sound knowledge of internet and multimedia development in Singapore 
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in Chinese and English 
  • Knowledge of online advertisement, e.g. SEO, SEM, Display ads
  • Experience in translation and copywriting
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Analytics and Adobe Creative Suite, experienced in Google Adwords, Google Display, Facebook Advertising 
  • Independent, creative and innovative
  • Strong marketing &  graphic sense
  • High flexibility
  • Ability to work under pressure and to respect deadlines
  • Strong interest in world affairs
  • Clear commitment to the aims and values of MSF
  • Preferably have HTML5/PHP or Drupal experience
