Marketing Manager


Job Purpose
Support Director of Fundraising to develop and implement strategy and activities for MSF Hong Kong to increase support from the general public and/or existing donors. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop & implement outreach marketing strategy and creative ideas to expand donor database and achieving annual targets through online and offline channels; OR develop & implement donor loyalty, conversion, upgrade and reactivation programmes that enhance high responsiveness of existing donors towards call to action.
  • Manage a team, vendors, and collaborate with internal stakeholders (including communications and partnership teams)  to deliver projects timely and effectively.
  • Evaulate projects’ results from time to time and make apt adjustments to maximize opportunities for reach, engagement and doantion incomem with high ROI.
  • Manage a team and collaborate with internal stakeholders (including communications and digital) to deliver marketing projects timely and effectively.
  • Work with other marketing/fundraising teams in the global offices to support MSF’s overall mission and vision. 

The Ideal Candidate 

  • Degree holder preferably majored in marketing, e-commerce or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in marketing, sales, membership or charitable fundraising in sizable organizations, preferably multinational.5 years+ experience in staff management and team supervision.
  • 5 years+ experience in staff managerial or supervisory role. 
  • Achievement oriented with an analytical mindset, able to interpret and analyze figures to support strategy development and tracking output and outcomes.   
  • Exceptional organizational skills able to manage multiple projects at the same time, tracking progress and making changes quickly when necessary.  
  • Excellent communications skills in both written and verbal English and Chinese. Presentable and able to convince.
  • Knowledge and management experience in digital marketing and being aware of the latest trends and social media sentiment, OR, knowledge and solid experience in donor stewardship for iNGO, hands on with CRM Marketing, managing diverse donors’ communications and engagement to enhance loyalty and commitment.
  • Good interpersonal skills with outstanding leadership quality, strong negotiation skills with ability to build influential relationships with stakeholders. 
  • Able to work in a culturally diverse office and working remotely with colleagues overseas.
  • Open-minded personality with a can-do mentality.
  • Knowledge in charitable fundraising is preferred.
  • Compassionate to MSF’s lifesaving mission.
