Human Resources and Finance Manager

MSF always looking for experienced HR and Finance professionals who are passionate about humanitarian work and want to use their skills and expertise in our interventions. 

 

Roles of HR and Finance Manager:

As the HR and Finance Manager, your main purpose is to plan, organise and implement, within the project, HR, administrative and financial policies and activities in accordance with legal requirements and MSF protocols, standards and procedures in order to provide the organisation with quality, reliable and transparent information on the use and allocation of resources to achieve the project's objectives.

 

For the HR part, you are responsible for the good planning of the project’s human resources. You are responsible for the follow-up of staff, from recruitment to end of contract. You oversee compliance with internal regulations and social legislation in effect in the country. You work with the support of the Human Resources Coordinator in charge of HR in the country.

 

For the Finance part, you are in charge of the financial management of the project, which includes the setting up and monitoring of the budget and forecasts, supervision of the accounting, cash management of the treasury, effectiveness of the internal control system as well as management of budgets from donors. You will work with the support of the Financial Coordinator in charge of Finance in the country.  

 

With staff under your supervision, you are also responsible for the organisation and training of staff involved in these various tasks.

 

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Human Resources, Economics, Management or Human Sciences or relevant experience in Human Resources and/or Finance
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in HR and/or Finance and an interest in both areas
  • Willingness to take on responsibilities in HR and Finance
  • Experience working in an NGO and/or in a developing country is an asset
  • Be available to work anywhere, including politically unstable contexts and conflict zones
  • Availability 6 - 12 months for each assignment.

*Applicants with more experience in Learning and Development will be considered as Personnel Development Manager

*Priority will be given to multi-lingual (English AND French) applicants
