Job Purpose

MSF Hong Kong was established in 1994 and is now one of the 25 associations of the international movement. Since early 2000s, MSF HK has already been recruiting outside of the boundaries of Hong Kong and therefore regionalizing its HR pool and subsequently its association membership make-up. Consequently, MSF HK Association became the first regional association and is now one of six in the Movement.
Currently, MSF HK Association has members coming from 14 countries across Greater China and Southeast and East Asia, thus cultivation and engagement of association members is key to encourage the Association’s main responsibility to safeguard MSF identity and ensuring that executive activities and operation are aligned to MSF’s charter, principles, and social mission. The Association also has a formal function within MSF’s governance.
The position of Association Communications Officer (ACO) is critical in ensuring the interactivity of communication amongst our internal stakeholders and has shared responsibility with the Association Network and Engagement Officer (ANEO) on stimulating associative dynamics among members through direct and indirect exchange of topics relevant to MSF’s social missions. The ACO is part of the associative team of MSF-HK under the MSF-HK Board and supervised by the Regional Association Manager.
