The latest wave of fighting in #Syria has reportedly displaced thousands of people, killed dozens and seen hospitals being hit in Idlib and Aleppo, according to local authorities.
We call on all parties for the respect of healthcare facilities, medical staff and patients, as well as of the displacement sites hosting a population that has suffered through many years.
MSF is assessing the needs in its area of intervention in Idlib region and is donating logistical materials and medical supplies to hospitals to alleviate the growing health gap caused by the escalation. We have also so far assisted more than 240 families who have newly been displaced from areas near the frontlines.
Thousands of people have crossed into northeast Syria where our teams are also assessing their situation and assisting them. We already distributed assistance kits to people in collective centres in Raqqa and Tabqa, and we are in touch with the local authorities to provide further support.
