Médecins Sans Frontières (Hong Kong) issued a statement on September 17, 2024 regarding an online channel who claimed to raise funds for us. On the same day, we received the first inquiry from the public who had given money to the channel, and proceeded with informing the police and YouTube platform. We are seeking legal advice for the development as well.

We would like to express our gratitude to the different sectors in Hong Kong for their continued support, such as initiating donation appeals or fundraising activities. We have also been actively inviting individuals or groups to help promote our activities or encourage the public to support us. These channels and means are crucial to us and will definitely help us mobilise more resources for our humanitarian response.

MSF welcomes individuals or groups to contact us before initiating crowdfunding or collective fundraising invitations to your friends or supporters, and we would provide related assistance, assess the nature and content of the fundraising activity, and handle the related donation procedures.
