Ms. Carmen Lee to be Acting President of MSF-HK

MSF-HK Board Accepted the Resignation of Dr. Tsz-wah Tse as President

The Board of Médecins Sans Frontières Hong Kong (MSF-HK) accepted the resignation of Dr. Tsz-wah Tse as the President of MSF-HK due to work-related commitments. Ms. Carmen Lee, Vice-president of MSF-HK, is the Acting President starting from 1 March 2007 until the next general assembly of MSF-HK, which will be held at the end of 2007. A new President will be elected during the general assembly.

Ms. Carmen Lee is a certified accountant and has been the Board Member of MSF-HK since November 2002. She has been elected as the Vice-president of MSF-HK since January 2007. Ms. Lee joined MSF and was sent to Nairobi and Lokichoggio, Kenya in 2001 as a Finance Coordinator for an MSF mission in South Sudan.

Dr. Tsz-wah Tse was elected as the President of MSF-HK to replace Dr. Emily Chan since 1 January 2006. Dr. Tse appreciates all the support from MSF-HK volunteers, association members, staff, donors and supporters during his Presidency. He will continue to support the values, activities and strategies of MSF-HK. MSF-HK lauds Dr. Tse for his voluntary work and unwavering commitment over the past year as President of MSF-HK.
