The baby with burn wound

This baby was not the direct victim of earthquake. He got the burn wound due to falling into cooking utensils. Actually children burnt case is common in developing countries, like Haiti. This is because many families who are suffering from poverty have to stay in very congested areas that there even may not be any proper area for cooking. Also, the families often have more than one kid and it may be difficult for the caretakers to look after several kids at the same time. Hence this kind of home accident, especially cooking related burnt cases among children, is very common. Furthermore, here in Port-au-prince, many people are still living on the street or informal camps under makeshift shelters, though the earthquake happened more than a month ago. The people have cook on the ground in the camps or outside the tents while the children may just play around. Hence the risk of getting burn is even higher.
