MSF opens new HIV/AIDS clinic on India Myanmar border
Last week, Médecins Sans Frontières （MSF） opened a new clinic in Moreh, a small rural town in Chandel district in the Indian state of Manipur that is on the border with Myanmar.
The specialised clinic offers free medical treatment and counselling for people living with HIV/AIDS and drug resistant tuberculosis.
People living with HIV/AIDS and drug resistant tuberculosis in the border regions where the clinic is located have limited access to treatment, especially outside the state capital. By opening a clinic in Moreh, MSF intends to increase the access and availability of diagnosis, treatment and care for one of the most vulnerable and neglected groups in this part of the country.
