MSF worldwide work highlight (9/9-22/9)

Central African Republic
MSF denounces the targeting of civilian population in a new wave of violence erupted in Bouca, north of Bangui, in Central African Republic.  MSF treated 26 people, injured either by machetes or gunshots, including eight women and six children. 
 
Democratic Republic of Congo
For the past two weeks, several tens of thousands of displaced people have been living in precarious conditions in the region of Ituri, in the northeast Democratic Republic of Congo. MSF has strengthened its medical activities in Gety to aid the displaced populations.
 
MSF treated more than 7,600 malaria patients in Lulingu and started a new project in Wamba for measles.
 
Zambia
Three years after MSF began an intervention to improve access to sexual and reproductive health services in Luwingu district, Northern Province, the project closed in mid-September.
