Corporate Philanthropy Senior Officer / Officer

Job Purpose
Strategic lead in expanding the corporate segment and providing high quality stewardship to maintain beneficial relations with corporate sponsors and donors, aiming to achieve the fundraising target and increase corporate contribution. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand the corporate philanthropy landscape and actively engage in social and networking activities to broaden MSF’s corporate network, identifying and converting potential leads into donors. 
  • Strategize the approach of corporate partnerships programs with the aim to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in engaging the target groups for income generation and acquiring new donation.
  • Conduct market research, analysis and prepare regular reports for formulating marketing strategies.
  • Implement corporate fundraising programmes independently to achieve the fundraising target set.
  • Produce high quality communications materials, from PowerPoint presentations to cover letters, proposals, funding application forms etc that raise interest in the corporate sector.
  • Maintain and update communication records with donors in MSF HK donor database.
  • Participate in working groups of fundraising campaigns/events, e.g. Orienteering Competition and MSF Day, when the direct supervisor sees fit.
  • Engage in relevant working groups in the MSF movement for exchange and acquisition of knowledge as deemed appropriate by the direct supervisor. 
  • Provide support to the Fundraising team in other ad-hoc marketing, donor service and administrative duties as needed.

The Ideal Candidate

  • University graduate.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate relations, marketing or fundraising.
  • Evidence of strong interest in humanitarian affairs and a commitment to the aims and values of Médecins Sans Frontières.
  • Have a proactive personality, and be spontaneous in initiating suggestions or actions to achieve objectives and improve donor relations
  • Excellent presentation skills with proven experience of public speaking.
  • Have strong customer service skills, be comfortable with public speaking and have a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to contribute to strategic planning and budget setting.
  • Experience in managing multiple ongoing projects with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and targets.
  • Proven experience in execution of KYC, due diligence processes and events planning is a plus.
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese (both written and spoken);
  • Be a team player with strong interpersonal skills, be able to multi-task, and be willing to assist with tasks outside direct job description.
  • Be willing to occasionally work during weekends or special events.
  • Enjoy working in an environment with co-workers of different nationalities, races and cultures.

MSF Hong Kong will offer a remuneration package of 12 months basic salary benchmarked in INGO with no discretionary bonus.
