Dr. Tsz Wah TSE Elected as New President of MSF-Hong Kong

Dr. Tsz Wah TSE, private practitioner in Hong Kong, has been elected as President of Médecins Sans Frontières Hong Kong (MSF-HK) to replace Dr. Emily Ying Yang CHAN effective from 1 January 2006.

Dr. TSE graduated from the Hong Kong University in 1995 and then worked with United Christian Hospital. He has spent a year in London to do a master degree in Clinical Dermatology. After deciding to join MSF as a field volunteer, he went to England again to have training on sexually transmitted diseases and HIV/AIDS. He also managed to do some self-studies on tropical medicine during that period in order to get himself more prepared for the mission. He worked in an HIV/AIDS treatment programme in Merauke, Indonesia from May 2003 to May 2004. From January to February 2005, he joined the post-emergency intervention of the Asian tsunami in Aceh, Indonesia.

MSF-HK also lauded outgoing Dr. Emily CHAN for her voluntary work and unwavering commitment over the past four years as President of MSF-HK. She will continue to serve MSF-HK as a member of the Board. The list of board members of MSF-HK as of 1 January 2006 is as follows:
