Senior Digital Marketing Officer (Field Human Resources Department)

 

Job Purpose

As the “Digital Persona” of the Regional Field Human Resources Team (FHR), this position is asked to 

  • Implement the digital FHR strategy to drive recruitment across target markets, as well as create valuable engagement with current field workers through a variety of digital channels and activities. 
  • Coordinate implementation across multi-functional teams, located in various MSF sections and maintain healthy working relationships across various Digital teams across the offices for the execution of FHR strategies and objectives.
  • Leverage digital marketing platforms, research, social media platforms, online reviews, and employee testimonials to establish a positive brand image and position MFS as humanitarian medical employer. 
  • Leverage messaging, email, and social media platforms to build an “MSFers community”, engaging with both active and passive field workers in the region (international and local staff and peers) to boost retention, 
  • Lead and coordinate the marketing, the execution and the follow up of all digital events (Regional Webinars, Online Training). Be creative and propositional in digital events & idea for recruitment and engagement (i.e., LinkedIn, Facebook events, Experience-sharing etc).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Digital Marketing and Engagement Strategy
    • Implement the FHR centralised digital marketing strategy, aligned with FHR goals and objectives (in coordination with regional partners and external providers). 
    • Support regional digital stakeholders with localising their digital marketing strategy, aligned with the centralised marketing strategies goals and objectives.
    • Analyse industry best practices and competitor activities to identify opportunities for innovation and new ways of working.
  • Content Development, Digital Recruitment & Advertising Campaigns and Distribution
    • Create and coordinate the creation of compelling and targeted digital content (including blog posts, videos, social media campaigns, email marketing, landing pages, and related digital activities) for engagement and recruitment. 
    • Develop and coordinate the implementation of recruitment campaigns to promote FHR activities within recruitment and engagement initiatives.
    • Monitor MSF media databases or content produced within digital teams to identify content that can be repurposed, utilised, or optimised for FHR digital activities.
    • Work closely with other content creators in MSF HK Offices to ensure the content aligns with FHR messaging and appeals to the target audience.
    • Adhere to all MSF branding and image guidelines in content production, or implementation activities.
    • Develop and coordinate the implementation of digital advertising and engagement campaigns to promote FHR activities within recruitment and engagement initiatives. Monitor and analyse campaign performance and budgets, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

    • Stay abreast of industry regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR) to ensure activities comply with legal requirements.
  • Social Media & Channels Management
    • Management of FHR social media and/or other channels used for the purpose of recruitment, engagement with field workers and peers (LinkedIn, WhatsApp, etc) in a timely and professional manner. 
    • Utilise social media platforms to build an MSF community and engage with both active and passive field workers, peers and possible new recruits.
    • Support in crisis-management or critical if needed.
    • Coordinate and implement marketing automation tools and activities to streamline repetitive tasks or add value in target audience engagement activities.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination and Coordination
    • Organizes and manages the content schedule for FHR and coordinates the publishing of digital content along with key stakeholders in digital and/or cross-functional teams.
    • Coordinate with other digital units and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of FHR digital marketing efforts.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand FHR and HR, ensuring digital strategies support broader organisational goals.
    • Foster strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders to maximize cross-functional synergy.
    • Adhere to data protection, IT security, and related organisational compliance standards for the access of various digital platforms, data, and information.
    • Ensures synergy, planning, and implementation of online activities from other digital and cross-functional areas or Departments to achieve MSF’s online goals.
  • Analytics and Reporting:

    • Utilise shared-access analytics tools to track, measure and regularly report on the performance & success of digital campaigns and/or events. Work closely with regional recruiter to assess recruitment profile fulfilment, candidate applications, related engagement metrics, and provide insights for future optimisation.

    • Coordinate internal field workers research and analysis activities for the continual monitoring of field worker satisfaction, engagement and retention. 

    • Monitors FHR online and offline engagement activities for opportunities to improve overall candidate or field worker experience and satisfaction.

  • FHR Digital Event

    • Work together with the FHR team to support Online Events (Recruitment Webinar, etc)

The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of solid experience in developing and implementing successful digital marketing strategies. 
  • Ability to carry out projects from conceptual stage to launch in time-bound fashion – coordinating with various team-members and offices.
  • Proficiency in using digital channels and marketing tools and platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and extract actionable insights.
  • Excellent copywriting writing skills, and ability to write advertising copy independently.
  • Strong independence and flexibility in taking new challenges and suggest ideas. 
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms and tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpo Good interpersonal skills that works with regional teams.
  • Good command of English.
