During the three months in Bor, I never saw a patient nor their family shed a drop of tear.

In our project hospital, the growing need for neonatal and maternal care was clear, as these are the vulnerable groups affected by Yemen’s ongoing war.
Here we try to plant seeds of hope, but in the aftermath of civil war...

The mornings begin with stepping out of my tukul (mud hut), blinking sleepily against the brilliant violets and roaring oranges of an African sunrise.
Yesterday, I celebrated International Women’s Day which is essentially a day of solidarity for women fighting for human rights in different aspects of life.
I knew it.
